Ascent to Hoverla

The highest mountain in Ukraine is Hoverla. She is also the most popular. You can complete an ascent to Hoverla in just one day. So many people do. I advise you to give a little more time to get acquainted with the Carpathians. The top (especially as Hoverla), conquered at the end of a long journey, is perceived quite differently. You appreciate it much higher, and you understand much better. And you will perceive yourself not as a holiday-maker on excursions, but as a hero-conqueror of peaks. In this hike except Goverla we will try to conquer Mount Petros (2020 m) - its steep slope will make us sweat a bit.

Trekking to Svidovets - Carpathian Mountains

This trip is an opportunity to compare two poles, two separate worlds in the Carpathians. The route begins on Svidovce - the second highest in the range of the Ukrainian Carpathians. Svidovets are soft grassy slopes, flowing lines and & nbsp; rounded & nbsp; eyes & nbsp; cold mountain lakes. And then a dash, a march through the valley past the sources of the Black Tise, and we are already in a world of endless stony placers and deaf spruce forests. These wild Gorgans greet us - participants of a difficult and rich trekking through the Carpathians.

White Elephant - winter hike in the Carpathian mountains

A short winter trip with lodging in a shepherd's cottage (kolyba) with a stove. The goal of the trek is to climb the third highest mountain of the Ukrainian Carpathians, Pop Ivan Chernogorsky (2028 m). At its top is an abandoned observatory, which in winter is covered with a meter layer of ice and turns into a fabulous "White Elephant". If you are lucky with the weather, you are waiting for the stunning panoramas of the snow-covered Montenegrin ridge (visible to Hoverla) and the Romanian Carpathians. And if you are not lucky - then you will feel at your own skin what snowdrifts and snow storms are like. But how nice it will be then to return to the warm stove :)

Winter hike in Gorgan (mountain Grofa)

A winter trip to the Carpathian Mountains with overnight lodging in a touristic house (a hut with a stove) in the Pollenka Polonina. From this shelter, we will make a radial foray into the neighboring peaks of the Northern Gorgan Mountains. Namely - we go lightly to the mountain Grof and Mount Parenki.

Winter trip to Hoverla - Carpathian Mountains

In winter, the already impressive Hoverla looks amazing. A huge white pyramid towering above the world. A huge cross on the top overgrown with a meter layer of frost and causes apocalyptic associations, something in the spirit of "The Day After Tomorrow". If the weather deteriorates and a blizzard begins, the end of the world will not seem so far away. Fortunately on the ridge there are several huts in which you can wait out the bad weather. It is in them are planned lodging on this route.

"Polonina Borzhava" hike in the Carpathians for the weekend

Polonina Borzhava is one of the largest ridges in the Carpathians (it is quite long, but not too high). In the name of the ridge, the word "polonin " (pasture) - the mountains here are covered with grass, not cold cobblestones. A hike in peace-loving Borstva is easier than conquering Hoverla, besides there are much fewer people, which is especially important for hikes for holidays and weekends.

Mountain of Love - a hike in Transcarpathia

Our route will take you to the most beautiful places of Transcarpathia. Svidovets & ndash; this is a real mountainous country, where meadows and lakes are reminiscent of Switzerland. And right in the middle of this country stands the Mountain of Love, in honor of which the route is named. And further, further, Polonina Red impresses with its expanses and views, ascending to & nbsp; Mount Strimba (1719 m) and descent to the authentic Transcarpathian village of Kolochava.

Trekking to Lake Sinevir, Carpathians

Lake Synevyr is covered by legends, a protected lake. It hid in dense coniferous forests on the other side (for us and with you) of the Carpathians. The path to it lies through one of the most beautiful corners of the Gorgany mountain range - Grof summit. Only after passing through it and several other Carpathian peaks we can get to Sinevir (of course, it was possible to go by transport, but this is not our method).

From Sinevir to Borzhava

This route is rich in sights. First we will have to walk along the stone peaks of Gorgan, then through the Polish-Czechoslovak border forgotten in the forests, we will admire the Sinevir lake, we will walk along the alpine meadows of the Borzhava valley and see one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Transcarpathia - the Shipot waterfall.

 

Eastern Gorgany

The route passes through the most picturesque and wild parts of the Carpathians & ndash; on the Eastern Gorgan. High-mountain spruce forests, mountain lakes, clear streams and stone-covered mountains will not leave anyone indifferent.

Hiking in the Dividing Range (Carpathians)

Verkhovynsky Dividing ridge - high-mountainous Poloninsky massif (peak of Pikuy, 1408 m) on the border of Transcarpathian and Lviv regions. This name is not for nothing. At its base are the sources of the largest rivers of the Carpathians and Europe – The Dniester, Xiang, Oh, Latoritsa. The route along the ridge is soft enough - practically without significant differences in heights, suitable for beginners. &Nbsp;

Winter hike on the Hamster and the Bruch, Carpathians

Only a dozen kilometers from Bukovel (the most popular ski resort of the Carpathians) is the Maly Gorgan Range. Very picturesque place: " correct " sharp mountain peaks, huge boulders and low-creeping creeping trees. Due to the proximity of the transport highway, it is very convenient to do short trips there, besides there is an opportunity to spend the night in shepherds' lodges (kolyba), which is very important in winter.

Breath of Grofa

The breath of Grof, the most beautiful peak of the Gorgany mountain range, is heard for many kilometers. In the winter the ice melts and rumbles with the roar of avalanches, and in summer it gently murmurs by streams and smells with pine needles. Inhale this air, set foot on the stony stony placers of Gorgan and feel at the edge of the world - this is the minimum program for a health-improving trip to Mount Grof.

We   cross several parallel ridges and pass by the most beautiful waterfalls in the Carpathians and rise higher and higher at the highest point of Gorgan - Mount Syvul.

Elbrus from the North

A difficult trip to the Caucasus, only for experienced tourists with good physical training and strong motivation. When climbing, you need to walk in a bunch, use an ice ax and cats. If you do not already know how, during the acclimatization the instructor will teach you the basic technique, but this does not mean that everything will be easy and simple. The presence of high-altitude experience (long stay at altitudes over 3000m) is welcomed. The ascent to the Eastern peak of Elbrus from the north side will take place along the classical route, there are no tricks or innovations there.
