Hikes on a winter student's vacation 2013

Written by Кирилл Ясько 21.01.2008 For the period of a winter student's vacation 2013 we have planned a lot of hikes.

Winter hikes across Crimea:

From January, 29th till February, 2nd - a hike on a route Cave cities of Crimea.
From February, 03 till February, 08th - More high-altitude, and consequently even more winter hike across Crimea. A route - Water and Stones.
From February, 10 till February, 13th - a short hike on cape Ajaj. For 3 days from Balaklavy up to bay Laspi.

Winter hikes on Carpathians:

From January, 27th till February, 1st - a hike to Carpathians waterfalls.
From February, 03 till February, 08th - trip to Gorgany ridge.
From February, 10 till February, 13th - a winter hike on Goverla.

We invite not only students, but all interested persons. By the way, to students the discount of 10 %.  

Video Panorama of Carpathians

Written by Кирилл Ясько 11.01.2008 This video fragment, is taken in July, 2005 during a hike on Gorganam - to one of ridges of the Ukrainian Carpathians. I any more do not remember at which top we during this moment stood, but the panorama opens more than characteristic. The gloomy sky, huge stone looses covered by bright green lichens, thrickets of zherep, pastures below and cuttings down on an opposite slope.

 

Video: Winter mountaineering in Crimea

Written by Кирилл Ясько 05.01.2008 Video about an ascention on the Eklizi-burun summit (plateau Chatyr-Dag, mountains of Crimea) in February 2006. Visibility practically zero, we go being guided exclusively on GPS. Not reaching 200 meters up to top the decision to curtail and begin descent to the opposite side of mountain was accepted.

Written by Кирилл Ясько 05.01.2008 Video from a hike across Crimea in January 2007. We on Gurzufskoj jajle, in 100 meters from Arbour of winds, have hidden under sosenkami. Weather is excellent - a blizzard, a strong wind, zero visibility. We enjoy a life and even we have time to remove video.

 

Video: In snowshoes on Carpathians

One more video fragment about our hike on winter Carpathians. This time we move in snowshoes. A snow in a zone of a wood very soft and without snowshoes we would tease in a snow with speed of a turtle. On video it is visible, that we go with quite decent speed.

Video from a winter hike on Carpathians in December, 2007. We rise on a Petros from pass Sheshul. The ice crust fragile, a snow constantly fails under legs(foots), that rather complicates movement.

 

January Hike 2013

Written by Кирилл Ясько 02.01.2008 the pedestrian winter hike across mountain Crimea From January, 5 till January, 7th, 2013 (they are days off in honour of Christmas) takes place. In the program of a hike: the Valley of ghosts, plateau Demerdzhi, cave MAN. Join, still there are 3 free places.

Winter sleeping bag Bergson Camper 3

Written by Кирилл Ясько 17.12.2007 in the Autumn 2005 I have bought two winter sleeping bags Bergson Camper 3. These are excellent sleeping bags, however universal them you will not name. Camper 3 - a sleeping bag inexpensive (nearby $50), very warm (up to-25), very big and... heavy
