Rafting on the Psel River

Group meeting at 10 am at the Myrhorod railway station. Intercity from Kyiv arrives in Myrhorod at 8:30 and 9:00 (journey time is 2:31), and from Kharkov - at 9:46 (journey time is 2:16). At the station you will be met by an instructor and a chartered minibus or taxi (depending on the size of the group). Transfer to the village of Velyki Sorochyntsi (40 minutes). On the way, we'll take a look at the site of the famous Sorochynskyi fair. We land on the banks of the Psel River and begin preparations for the start - we collect kayaks, load things and food. At the same time, you can swim and have lunch. When everything is ready, we go through a safety briefing and set off. We sail calmly, without stress. On the first day we will paddle from 5 to 8 km depending on the level of the group. There are plenty of mooring spots on the river - as soon as we swim, we moor and set up tents. Fire, fishing, relaxation.

Distance 5-8 km, driving time 1-2 hours

We have breakfast, pack up camp, and set sail. Not far from the confluence of the Hrun Tashan tributary we pass a bottleneck (a fallen tree). Near the village of Pokrovske (Malyi Perevoz) we make a long stop on the beach. We go for a walk on a nearby hill. There is a house-museum of the writer Korolenko and, more importantly, from the hill there is an excellent view of the valley of the Psel River. At the same time, we go into the village and replenish our supplies of drinking water (from the well). We return to the kayaks, have lunch, and continue sailing. The next landmark is the bridge in Baranivka. Below it, the banks change and there are a lot of flooded trees around - we are approaching the Shyshatska hydroelectric power station. We stop for the night near the village of Velykyi Pereviz.

Distance 20 km, driving time 4 hours

We slowly sail to the finish line - the Shyshatska hydroelectric power station dam. There we say goodbye to the kayaks, swim one more time and have lunch on the beach. We get into the minibus and go back to Myrhorod (1 hour). This concludes the tour program. Upon arrival, you can walk around the city, go to the Myrhorodkurort pump room and the famous Gogol puddle. Intercity departs from Myrhorod to Kyiv around 21:00, and to Kharkov at 20:20.

Distance 7 km, driving time 2 hours

The above version of the program is designed based on a leisurely pace, frequent swimming and breaks. If you have a sports group and you want and can maintain a more intense pace of movement, then in the same amount of time you can swim 2 times as much. Then you can finish in Yareski, Ustvitsa or Velyka Bahachka. This does not affect the price of the trip.
