Many thanks to you, Cyril, for the organization of a hike and certainly to the instructor and a conductor Anastass. The group has stolen up very good. Before holiday we were overcome with huge quantity(amount) of a different sort of fears and fears. Whether here the six-years(six-summer) son, for example, will sustain such loadings? And what, if to ourselves the hike will be not in pleasure? And suddenly the company will get not sincere? Also what to do(make), if our unpretentious Chinese tent with a hole in a floor will start to proceed during a rain? (we have then replaced tent with more "advanced" variant, and it was correct! The group has stolen up very good, people young, cheerful and multinational - Russian, Ukrainian, the Byelorussians, one German and one Englishman. All we fans of the nature and productive leisure, sociable and positive. And at once have found common language as among themselves, and with our guide Andrey and organizer Kirill. In total us was 15 person.

 

You should go there

 At last after the whole month of continuous terror has persuaded the girl to go with me to a hike across mountain Crimea. It(she) has agreed, but under one condition, that on the termination(ending) of a hike we shall remain days on five with the sea, it was necessary to go on the compromise. And here we together, after long disputes and insults against each other, have stopped the choice on a route « Water and Stones » as under the description and responses about it(him) it(he) has seemed to us the most interesting and picturesque. Already in first two days of a hike at us does not remain also droplets of doubt, that we have acted(arrived) correctly: feeling of delight from fine kinds which opened to us during six days, could not leave indifferent even the most inveterate opponents of productive leisure.

Time in Crimea

What time in Crimea? If you mean time zone, in Crimea time Kiev (2 hours forward from Greenwich). Thus Crimea, as well as all Ukraine is in time zone UTC+2 (in summertime UTC+3).

For comparison: Moscow is in belt(zone) UTC+3 (in summertime UTC+4).

And without thinking twice, using all the skills and ingenuity has found this tourist site, and it was defined(determined) by that I shall go taki to mountains and these mountains will be in Crimea. A celebratory route - in a gift to itself on 8th March Balaklavskaja a bay - Laspi - a worthy gift to itself favourite.

So the Moscow State University is located approximately in 212 meters above a level of Baltic sea. That is difference of heights between the highest point of Moscow (mountain Vorobevy) and the lowest (Moscow-river) makes 85 meters.

One of these days me have asked about at what height above sea level there are Crimean cities of Yaltas, Alushta and Simferopol. Firstly I wished to wave away from this question, but curiosity has pushed me to check up, that writes the Internet on this theme. It has appeared, that it is practically impossible to find in a network of mentions of height of the majority of cities of the former Union. Amazed(struck) by this fact, I have decided to correct a situation.  

The big Crimean Travel

Hereinafter - the small story, more likely "reporting", on the days lead in Crimea in last summer... We have decided to break 2 weeks available us on two parts: productive leisure (namely - the pedestrian hike in mountains) - first half and to take the machine(car) on second half of time. And a conductor we have found a route on a site www.outdoorukraine.com. The site and routes on it(him) at once have liked, considering, that a site one person, it(he) supports(maintains) actually one of those who drives in mountains (Cyril). All is accessible, clearly, especially for those who goes to mountains the first time.

For a long time dreamed to go to the pedestrian hike. Has mentally bypassed all Crimea. Beach rest with the organized excursions it is good, but a little prielos and wanted adventures, romanticism, travel. For last three years has tried(tasted) velo-and motor-hikes, and has understood, that here it is the present(true) rest, she is mine.

the Story about a hike « Above the sea » (19.-24.08.2007)

I wish to share the impressions about a recent hike « above the sea ». Though this our hike can be renamed safely in « run on deserted plateaus » as we more or less adhered to the planned route exactly two days. All rest - was the continuous improvisation caused by exhausting heat and sharp shortage of water (many sources have simply dried up).
