Northern Karakaya Pass
The Northern Karakai Pass is located in the Caucasus Mountains, in the highlands of the Central Caucasus. This is a pass in the zone of classic mountain routes, where the ridges reach considerable heights, and the neighboring sections of the ridge are covered by powerful glaciers.
Such passes are usually included in multi-day mountain hikes, and are overcome by prepared groups with equipment. We cannot confirm the exact technical characteristics of this particular pass, so before going out it is worth checking with the current reports of mountain clubs.
For the traveler, it is primarily a high vantage point in the harsh Caucasian highlands - with snowy peaks, glaciers and panoramas, for which they go to these mountains.
