FAQFrequently asked questions

What is the Gurzuf saddle and what is its height?

This is a mountain pass in the Crimean Mountains at an altitude of 1348 meters above sea level, between Babugan Yaila and Gurzufskaya Yaila. One of the highest passes in Crimea, through which people were once transported by wheels, not just by foot.

How to get there?

A dirt forest road passes through the saddle: to the south it leads to the village of Partyzanske and Yuzhnoberezhny highway, and to the north - to Romanovsky highway. Prepare for dust and lack of asphalt.

What to see nearby?

From here, according to the assumptions of geologists, the rocks of Adalara and Red Stone (Kyzil-Tash) once broke off - now they are official geological monuments. Nearby is the source of Gurbet-Dere-Bogaz-Keshmesi, if you want to rest.

What is interesting about this place from a historical point of view?

In 1981, an ancient sanctuary of the ancient era was found here - that is, people climbed here long before us. And the famous Artekivska trail runs through the saddle, which leads to Roman-Kosh, the highest point of Crimea.
