Besh-Tekne
Besh-Tekne is a tract-basin with two ponds on Ai-Petrynskaya Yail, north of Mount At-Bash. The name from the Crimean Tatar translates literally as "five troughs for watering".
Water here is a real rarity for dry Yayla: at the bottom of the hollow lies a layer of clay, which prevents it from simply falling through the limestone rocks, hence the ponds. The tract lies near the Eski-Bogaz trail, and it is separated from the South coast of Crimea by only about 8 km of road, so it is not about a multi-day expedition.
The basin is framed by sharp ridged rocks and sparse forests, and it itself stretches for more than 700 meters. The place is interesting and historical: in the Stone Age, there was one of the largest settlements of ancient people here, and archaeologists found many fragments of tools from the Magdalene era and the Neolithic on the slopes.
