Velikiy Kanyon
The Grand Canyon is a deep gorge in the Crimean Mountains, washed by water in the limestone about 1.5-2 million years ago. It is more than 320 meters deep, about 3.5 km long, and in some places it narrows to some 3 meters, so it is not the best place for those who do not like confined spaces.
Look for it in the Bakhchysaray district, on the border of the Ai-Petry massif and Boyka mountain, about 5 km southeast of the village of Sokoline. From there, the hiking trail begins. It is better to go in the second half of summer or autumn, when there is less rain: rockfalls are not a joke here in bad weather.
Inside, the Blue Lake, the Pania spring (the largest karst in Crimea), the famous Bath of Youth and the Auzun-Uzen river with waterfalls and a hundred stone cauldrons await.
