Velikiy kanyon Krimu
The Great Canyon of the Crimea is a gorge in the Crimean Mountains between the Boyka and Ai-Petri massifs, about 3 km long. In some places, the depth reaches 320 meters, and the walls approach some 3-5 meters: the space is not rich, but impressive.
The canyon lies near the Yalta-Bakhchisarai road, so it is convenient to start from any side, then walk along the bottom along the Auzun-Uzen river. It is best to go in summer or autumn, when there is little rain: after heavy rains, it is dangerous here, stones fly from above, and the water arrives quickly.
Inside, the Blue Lake, the powerful karst spring of Pania and the famous Bath of Youth, a natural bath, where the water does not heat up above 11 degrees, await you. Bathing is invigorating, to say the least. And more than one and a half thousand relict yews and many orchids grow here, there are trout in the river, and deer and badgers inhabit the slopes.
