Gropa
Gropa is a 1,759-meter-high peak in the Gorgan massif, on the Bratkiv ridge. It stands right on the border of Zakarpattia and Ivano-Frankivsk regions, so those who want to can keep one foot in Transcarpathia and the other in Prykarpattia.
There is no forest at the very top - solid stones and thickets of mountain pine (that lot that likes to cling to its pants). But the view from above is not blocked by anything. Durnya (1709 m) and Bratkivska (1788 m) rise nearby, and the valley of the Turba river descends to the south.
The approaches lead from the villages of Brustura or Bystrytsia, and you cannot reach the top by car - only on foot, as befits real Gorgans. The Richansky Botanical Reserve and the Verkhne Ozerishche Nature Complex are located nearby.
