Dragobrat
FAQFrequently asked questions
What is Dragobrat?
This is a small intermountain valley in the Svidovets massif and the highest mountain ski resort of the Ukrainian Carpathians. It lies at an altitude of 1300-1400 meters, so the snow here is serious, not for the view.
Where is it and how to get there?
Transcarpathia, Rakhiv district, approximately 18 km from Yasin. The last stretch of the road is such that an ordinary passenger car will pass - the locals drive all-wheel drive SUVs uphill, and this is part of the adventure.
When to go here?
The snow season lasts from November to May - one of the longest in the Carpathians. If you want to ride longer, when other resorts have already melted, this is the place for you.
What to see around?
The resort is surrounded by a horseshoe of peaks: Stig (1704 m), First and Second Zhandari and Blyznytsia (1883 m). From here you can see the view of Montenegro - the highest ridge of the Carpathians.
Is this a place for skiers only?
In winter, skiers and snowboarders dominate here, but in summer the horseshoe mountains and panoramas work just as well - albeit without snow underfoot.
