Pass of the Legions
The Pass of the Legions (1110 m) is the highest Gorgany pass with a man-made road: in November 1914 soldiers of the Polish Legions of the Austro-Hungarian army built a route here to move troops to the front, hence the name. The road is long ruined, the pass is impassable in winter, and a legionaries' cemetery remains on the Zakarpattia slope. It links Bystrytsia with Brustury.
