Durnya
FAQFrequently asked questions
What is the Fool and how tall is she?
This is a mountain with a height of 1704 m (in some places it is written 1709 m) in the Gorgan massif. It sits on the Bratkiv ridge, on the very border of Transcarpathia and Ivano-Frankivsk region.
How to get there?
The trails are laid from the village of Brusturiv in the Tyachiv region or from Bystrica in the Nadvirnian region. Choose the start depending on which side of the Carpathians you enter.
What awaits at the top?
The very top and the upper slopes are without forest, in places littered with stone rubble and overgrown with mountain pine - the same thorny crooked forest that likes to cling to your pants. The forest begins only below.
What should be included in the itinerary?
Durnya is the northwestern edge of the Bratkiv ridge, so Gropa (1759 m) and Bratkivska (1788 m) are nearby. Whoever has the strength, takes them as a set.
