Attraction 📍 Carpathians

Ad, or Peklo cliff, is a steep cliff in the Gorgan massif at an altitude of about 1,441 meters, sandwiched between the Sivulya and Tavpyshirk ridges, at the junction of Ivano-Frankivsk region and Zakarpattia. The name is ominous, and, let's face it, it's hard to forget.

According to local legends, people were punished here at different times, and this is where the name took root. The cliff itself is an outcrop of Eocene flysch with a giant scree below, and the top is covered by a spruce forest. The Bystrytsia-Solotvinska river originates nearby.

You can get here by several paths - from Bystrytsia, Maksymets or a longer road from Osmoloda. This is a full-fledged mountain pass for several hours with a solid elevation gain, so light shoes and one bottle of water are indispensable here - pack like real Gorgans.
