Þórsmörk Hut (Langidalur)
The Langidalur hut in the Þórsmörk valley is a two-storey Ferðafélag Íslands base sleeping 73, the classic finish of the Laugavegur. The valley stays open longer than the high huts: the hut is usually open and staffed from early May to early October, and you can reach it by highland bus or in a serious 4x4 across fords, including the temperamental Krossá river.
