Devrent Valley (Imagination Valley)

Devrent Valley, also called Imagination Valley, lies between Avanos and Ürgüp, close to Paşabağ. There are no open-air churches here, only tuff ridges shaped like a dolphin, camel or rabbit if you use a little fantasy. A short walk along the crests is a lighter Cappadocia stop: no frescoes, just pink-grey rock and changing light.
