What is Wuchang-Su and what makes it special?

This is the highest waterfall in Ukraine - water flies down from a height of almost 99 meters. The name is translated from Crimean Tatar: "flying water".

Where is it and how to get there?

The southern slope of Ai-Petri, about 6 km north of Yalta, at an altitude of about 390 meters. Landmark - the trails on Ai-Petri start from there.

When is the best time to go so you don't see dry rock?

Aim for spring or winter when it is in full water. In the summer, Uchang-Su dries up almost completely, and in severe frosts it sometimes freezes - that is, there is a spectacle, but it is completely different.

What is interesting to see nearby?

Near the second cascade stands a small building with a sculpture of an eagle, and above the waterfall there is an observation deck "Eagle Flight". In general, the waterfall forms two main cascades, and below the river makes several smaller ones.

Is this a protected area?

Yes, it has been under protection since 1947, and since 1973 it has been part of the Yalta Mountain Forest Reserve.
