Taraktashska stezhka
The Taraktash trail is a mountain hiking route above Yalta, leading from the Uchan-Su waterfall upwards to the Yalta Yaila. The name is Crimean Tatar and means "stone ridge", so you should not be surprised by the rocks of bizarre shapes along the road - they are here according to the schedule.
Length - about 3.5 km with a height difference of about 600 meters. The ascent takes 3-4 hours, the descent is more pleasant - 2-2.5. The path leads through an oak forest, gradually changing to pine, past an observation deck and a spring with a plaque dated 1904.
It was built in the 19th century by members of the Yalta branch of the Crimean Mountain Club under the leadership of doctor V. M. Dmitriev, and in 1965 it was renovated by adding parapets and stairs. It is logical to go from the bottom up, from the waterfall.
