Kush-Kaya
Kush-Kaya, also known as Sokil, is a mountain 474 meters high near Novy Svet and Pike perch. The Crimean Tatar name Quş Qaya translates as bird rock, and it also behaves in its own way: it is white in the sun, and after rain it acquires purple shades. Free performance for those who are not in a hurry.
The most interesting thing about her biography is her origin. This is an ancient coral reef about 150 million years old, from the Tethys Ocean, and it is considered one of the largest such reefs in Europe. Not bad for an ordinary-looking rock.
For rock climbers, the mountain is a real find: more than two dozen routes from the first to the sixth category of difficulty have been laid to the top. And who does not like ropes and iron, can overcome the western and northern sides without equipment. Near the sole is the only paved road from New World to Pikeperch, so it's hard to get lost.
