Bay Laspi
Laspi Bay is located on the southern coast of Crimea, between Cape Sarich and the Aya Reserve, approximately 30 kilometers from Sevastopol. It is hard to miss on the Yalta - Sevastopol road past Foros - the bay is right next to the road.
The local climate is almost subtropical, and for good reason: the bay is covered by the Kush-Kaya, Kalanykh-Kaya and Ilya mountains. They catch the sun and block the winds. The beach here is pebbly, about one and a half kilometers long, and the water is so clear that people go diving here. A few hundred meters from Sarich, an underwater labyrinth of rocks, the so-called stone garden, is hidden at depth.
Botanists also love Laspi: rare relics and orchids grow here, in particular the rare Comperia. People inhabited these places as early as the Paleolithic, and the medieval town on the shore was emptied after the earthquake of 1790, when the springs dried up.
