Kyrtyk River Valley
The valley of the Kirtyk River lies in Elbrus, to the northeast of the highest peak of the Caucasus. This is one of the classic corridors for those who go towards Elbrus through the northern and eastern spurs, away from the crowded cable cars.
The Kirtyk River runs through alpine meadows and moraines, and the valley serves as a convenient route for acclimatization exits. The landscapes here are harsh and spacious, with panoramas of the main ridge.
