Aksaut
Aksaut is a mountain river in the Western Caucasus, 77 kilometers long. It originates from the Khasaut glacier and carries its waters to Maly Zelenchuk, an upper tributary of the Kuban, flowing through the Zelenchuk district of Karachay-Cherkessia.
Aksaut Gorge is not for nothing called one of the most beautiful corners of the republic: the valley is sandwiched between the Mysta-Bash and Aksaut ridges, and there are more than 17 square kilometers of glaciers. On the left bank stands an ancient square tower made of hewn stone, and healing springs are hidden nearby.
