Alimova balka
Alimova Balka is a wooded tract-gorge of the Inner Range of the Crimean Mountains in the Bakhchisaray district, about 3 km long. It stretches along the slope of the Kachy Canyon in front of the Kachi-Kalyon Monastery and reaches the Kacha River.
The name was given by Alim - a Tatar robber of the 19th century, whom the locals turned into their own Robin Hood; his name also bears the source of Alim-Chokrak. A tourist route has been laid across the stream from the village of Bashtanivka to the Kubyshka rock.
The main attractions are a relict grove of thousand-year-old berry yew, stone chaos and rocky cliffs, and from the historical side - a Mesolithic parking lot, ruins of a medieval fortress and Tavr stone boxes. It is best to go in the warm, snow-free season, when the trails are dry.
