Sinyak
FAQFrequently asked questions
What kind of mountain is it and how high is it?
Synyak is a peak of 1665 m in the Gorgany massif in the Ivano-Frankivsk region. The name seems to come from the fact that the stones under the gray moss appear bluish through the layer of air.
How does the landscape change as you climb up?
There is a forest up to about 1,300 m, then the meadows begin, and a hundred meters higher - solid stone outcrops. So at the end of the climb, instead of grass, stones crunch under your feet.
What can be seen from the top?
In clear weather, the neighboring Dovbushanka and Yavirnyk ridges can be seen from here, Bukovel can be seen, and Chornohora with Hoverla (2061 m) and Petros (2020 m) on the horizon.
Who is the route suitable for?
Synyak is a one-day radial route, it is part of the Carpathian National Nature Park. That is, it is possible to cope with it in a day, but the stone places at the top require attentive feet.
