Yablunytsia Pass

The Yablunytsia Pass (931 m) is the main road gateway between Prykarpattia and Zakarpattia: highway H09 crosses here from the Prut valley into the Black Tisza valley, from Vorokhta to Yasinia. A Mongol horde passed through it in the 13th century, so it is still popularly called the Tatar Pass. Today the saddle has a kolyba eatery, a souvenir market and a view of Svydovets.
