Vatnajökull
Vatnajökull is the largest glacier in Iceland, covering roughly 8% of the country. Its volume reaches about 3,000 km³, and active volcanoes such as Grímsvötn lie beneath the ice. Since 2008 it has been part of Vatnajökull National Park.
