Canyon 📍 Crimea

Khaphal Gorge cuts through the southeastern slope of the Crimean Mountains near Tirke Yayla, where the Ulu-Uzen River makes its way through an ancient beech forest. This is one of the most shaded and wet corners of the Crimean mountains, hidden in a protected forest.

The main star here is the Jur-Jur waterfall, which is considered to be the most abundant in Crimea: it does not dry up even in the heat. The path up the gorge leads past cascades, stone baths and the roots of old beech trees, so getting your feet wet here is almost an inevitable part of the program.
