What is Muhu and where does it flow?
Muhu is a small mountain river in Karachay-Cherkessia, a left tributary of Teberda. It is only 15 km long, so there are no stars in the sky, but it flows through the very heart of the Western Caucasus.
Where does it begin and where does it flow?
The leak is at an altitude of about 3015 m to the northeast of Mount Mala Marka. It flows into the Teberda right within the limits of the resort town of Teberda, at an altitude of 1,289 m. That is, it manages to drop almost two kilometers of height in its 15 km.
How to get there?
Near the mouth of Muhu, it crosses the Military-Sukhum road (route A155), which leads through Teberda. So the confluence point itself is quite accessible to a motorist, but you will have to stomp your feet uphill to get to the source.
Where does this river carry its waters?
Muhu gives water to Teberda, and to the Kuban, and the Kuban eventually carries everything to the Sea of Azov. Not a bad trip for a stream only 15 km long.
Does Muhu have tributaries?
Yes, in the middle course, the Azgek River flows into it on the right - at an altitude of about 1787 m. More serious tributaries of such a short river cannot be expected.
