Velikiy Verkh
Velikyy Verkh is the peak of the Ukrainian Carpathians with a height of 1,598 meters, the highest point of the Borzhava mountain range. It rises more than a kilometer above the surrounding valleys, so it dominates the landscape quite convincingly.
The mountain stands in Transcarpathia, on the border of the Mukachevo and Khust districts near Volovets, among the villages of Guklyvy, Podobovets and Pylypets. The easiest way is from Pylypets by chairlift to Mount Gemba, and then on foot along the ridge; without a rope, you will have to overcome everything on your own.
From the top marked with a geodetic mark, the entire arc of Borzhava unfolds. And to the east of here the Shipit waterfall is hidden - a logical goal for later, if the legs are still holding.
