MAN
MAN is a small cave on the northern slope of Demerji in the Crimea. The name is not about the man, but about the Small Academy of Sciences: it was her young local historians who discovered the cave in 1963.
The cave is quite compact, about 30 meters long, but the ceiling of the upper tier rises from 3.5 meters at the entrance to ten meters in the center, so in some places you can stretch out to your full height. Once upon a time, there were ancient rock paintings on the walls, but they have not survived to our days, there are still mineral formations and a lot of animal bones.
It is most convenient to go here from the MAN pass along the northern part of Demerji, the landmarks are simple: a small forest, a tour and a rock-wall. The cave is humid, and in the depths there is an avalanche zone and a 30-meter well on the lower level, so it is better not to climb deeper than the entrance without proper equipment and experience.
