Kuchuk-Karasu
Kuchuk-Karasu is a river 80 km long, which in its upper reaches cuts through a picturesque gorge with waterfalls. It is this gorge that tourists call a canyon. The river begins at the Horucha pass near Karabi-yayla, at an altitude of about 725 meters, and ends at Biyuk-Karasu.
The main attractions are hidden in the upper reaches, closer to the village of Povorotne: Cheremisov waterfalls and the so-called "baths of youth" - natural stone depressions in which the brave go swimming. The most convenient entry point is the same Turnpike, from where the excursion route "Into the Kokasan Gorge" leads.
It is better to go in spring or early summer, while there is still water. In the lower reaches, the river simply dries up in summer and autumn, so visiting the falls in August is a good chance to see dry stones.
