Adishchala River

Adishchala River

Adishishchali is a mountain river in Upper Svaneti in northwestern Georgia, born from a glacier above the village of Adishi. The water in it is cloudy-gray from glacial flour, as befits a real Caucasian river from under the ice.

Travelers are familiar with this name from the classic Mazeri-Ushguli track: the ford through Adishishchali, cold and fast, is one of the challenges of the route. We will not give the exact measurements of the river, but there is plenty of ice water in it.
