Göynük Canyon
FAQFrequently asked questions
What is Heynuk Canyon and where is it?
This is a narrow gorge about 4.5 km long in southwestern Turkey, in the province of Antalya, not far from the village of Heynuk in the Kemer district. It lies within the Beidaglari National Park.
How to get there?
From the village of Heinyuk, the entrance can be reached on foot in about 45 minutes or by an hourly bus; SUVs and motorcycles are available for rent on site. A mountain path leads from the entrance to the canyon itself for another 2-3 km.
What can be done there?
The canyon with waterfalls and natural lakes is part of the famous Lycian Way, so people go here for trekking and canyoning. The route is on foot, and in some places you have to cross water.
How much is the entrance and when does it close?
As of 2022, the ticket cost from 17 euros (with pontoon crossing) to 23 euros (with canyoning). The fenced area closes at 19:00 local time, so they are not allowed there late at night.
Is there any infrastructure there?
Yes, tourist services have been operating in the canyon since 2009: they issue protective equipment, provide guides and feed visitors. In other words, you won't have to walk a completely wild path alone.
