FAQFrequently asked questions

What is Ulupinar and why is it interesting?

It is a small village in the Kemer district of Antalya province, sitting at the foot of the Himera mountain. It became famous not for monuments, but for trout restaurants just above the water - people come here just to eat.

How to get there?

The village is 25 km from Kemer and about 68 km from Antalya, so it is a short drive from any of the resorts.

What to see nearby?

Mt Chimera with its "eternal lights" is right next to it, and the village itself lies within the Olympos National Park - there is enough nature around.

Why is there so much fish on the menu?

The area is rich in springs and constant water flows, so trout are bred right here, in pools near restaurants. It's fresher nowhere.

Is it suitable for hiking?

Yes, the Lycian Trail passes through Ulupinar - one of the most famous trekking routes in Turkey. A convenient reason to take a walk and whet your appetite for the same trout.
