What is Takhtali and how high is it?
Mountain above Kemer on the Mediterranean coast of Turkey, 2366 meters high. In ancient times, it was called Lycian Olympus - they say that the temple of Hephaestus stood on the top, so the company of the gods was decent.
How to get to the top?
The easiest way is by the Olympos Teleferik cable car, which has been operating since 2007. Two cabins carry up to 80 people and overcome a drop of 1,639 meters in about 10 minutes, so you won't have to climb on your own feet. Lower station - about 8 km from Tekirova and Chamyuva.
When is the best time to go?

What is there to see here, besides the panorama?
A long-distance path, the Lycian Way, passes through the mountain - for those who still want to walk. At the foot are the ruins of the ancient city of Phaselis, and the forest line ends somewhere at 1,900 meters.
Where did the name Takhtala come from?
Probably, from the Turkish word taht - throne. The hint that one of the gods was sitting here fits perfectly with the ancient Olympic past.
