Video: Winter mountaineering in Crimea

Video about an ascention on the Eklizi-burun summit (plateau Chatyr-Dag, mountains of Crimea) in February 2006. Visibility practically zero, we go being guided exclusively on GPS. Not reaching 200 meters up to top the decision to curtail and begin descent to the opposite side of mountain was accepted.

In the summer all this way can be run in an hour. We have spendd on slopes about 5 hours. For all this time was only one halt (under covering of a rocky ledge).
