Snæfellsjökull
Snæfellsjökull is a glacier-capped stratovolcano on the Snæfellsnes peninsula in western Iceland, rising to 1,446 m. On clear days it can be seen from Reykjavík, 120 km away across Faxa Bay. Jules Verne set the entrance to the Earth's interior here in his novel Journey to the Center of the Earth.
