Blue Lagoon

Iceland's best-known bath, on the Reykjanes Peninsula about 20 km from Keflavík Airport. Its milky-blue water gets that colour from high silica content, and the lagoon itself formed as a byproduct of the Svartsengi geothermal power plant. Bathing started here in 1987, and the water holds around 37-39 °C.
