Uzhok Pass

The Uzhok Pass (889 m) on the Watershed Ridge links the Lviv region (Sianky) with Zakarpattia (Uzhok). Both the H13 road and an 1872 railway with a chain of tunnels cross it. Heavy fighting raged for the pass in WWI, and traces of the WWII "Árpád Line" still scar its slopes.
