FAQFrequently asked questions

What is this river and where does it flow?

Tereblya is a 91 km long mountain river in Transcarpathia. It runs from north to south through Mizhhirskyi, Khustskyi and Tyachivskyi districts and flows into the Tisza near the village of Bushtyno.

Why is it interesting for a tourist?

The river valley reaches a depth of 350 m in places and pierces the Inner Gorgan mountain range - the scenery is appropriate. In addition, water from the famous Lake Synevyr flows here.

Which current - calm or with character?

In the upper and middle reaches, the channel is winding and hollow, with a slope of 11 per mile. In other words, it doesn't smell like smooth sailing on mirror water here - the river is mountainous, with a temper.

What did people do here?

The Vilshan Reservoir is located on Tereble, and part of the water is transferred through the tunnel to the nearby Rika River to turn the turbines of the Tereble-Ritska HPP. A rare scheme for Ukraine, when the water works twice.

What are its tributaries?

Among the tributaries are Roztoka, Sloboda, Ozeryanka, Suhar and Ugolka. The catchment area is about 750 square kilometers.
