Lumshori

Lumshory is a small mountain village in Transcarpathia, in a river valley among wooded slopes. Its fame has long outgrown its dimensions: people go here primarily for bathing in vats - huge cast-iron cauldrons with mineral water, which are heated on a live fire in the open air.

The place is surrounded by beech forests, so clean mountain air and silence are added to the healing baths. There is also a small waterfall nearby, which is nice to walk to between tempering sessions.

You can get here through Perechyn; the road winds between the mountains, but it is precisely for such peace and hot water in the cauldron that people come here. It is especially beautiful here in winter, when the contrast between the icy air and the boiling water in the vat is felt to the full.
