Mound of Glory - a memorial to the Crimean partisans who fought against German troops in 1943-1944. It is made in the form of a white star in honor of the "Grozna" brigade and other fallen soldiers, and stands on the open Dovhorukivska yaila, at an altitude of about 887 meters.
The place is designed in such a way that the star is visible from almost everywhere on the plateau. The names of the dead are engraved on the slabs, an iron pennant crowns the top as a symbol of eternal fire, and partisan obelisks are scattered around. A few kilometers away, the legendary partisan airfield once operated.
The easiest way to go up is on foot from Perevalny or Generalsky, leaving the car at the bottom. It is comfortable to walk from late spring to autumn, when the trees are dry. In winter, there is wind and fog, through which you can miss a white star, standing almost next to it.
