Moloda
FAQFrequently asked questions
What is Moloda and how tall is she?
This is a 1,723-meter-high peak in the Gorgan massif in the Ukrainian Carpathians. By Carpathian standards, it is a respectable mountain, although it does not reach the neighboring Grofa (1748 m).
Where exactly to look for Moloda on the map?
The mountain stands in the Kaluska district of the Ivano-Frankivsk region. To the southeast of it - Grofa, to the northeast - Yaiko-Pereginske.
How difficult is it to climb?
The slopes in the southeast and northwest are steep and difficult to pass, so you can't call it a walk. Prepare your legs and don't rely on an easy route.
What will I see at the top?
The top is bare, covered with stone rubble, and a little below begins a meandering forest of mountain pine. Even lower is a mixed forest. The views here are open because the trees do not interfere.
What else is interesting about this mountain?
The Rosokhan River flows from the southeastern slope of Moloda - that is, you are literally standing at its source.
