Parenky Ridge

Parenky - a mountain range in Gorgany, in the southern part of Ivano-Frankivsk region, southwest of the village of Osmoloda. It lies within the Grof landscape reserve, among the wildest nooks and crannies of the Ukrainian Carpathians.

The ridge is small, about five to six kilometers long, and essentially consists of three peaks. The highest of them, Parenka itself, reaches 1735 meters. Branches branch off from the main ridge, the most powerful of which stretches to Mala and Velika Popadi.

The landscape here is purely Gorgan: stone placers-greystone and thick thickets of gorse and mountain pine, through which it is not easy to make your way. Parenky is part of the popular Grofetsko-Popadiy ring, so you will hardly be alone on the hike, but don't expect crowds here either.
