What is the highest mountain in the park?

How to get there?
There are few roads: the main ones are the Sognefjell track between Skjolden and Lom and the RV 51 through Valdresflüh. Popular trails are often accessed by boat on Lake Hyende, disembarking near mountain shelters such as Memuru or Hyendesheim.
When is the best time to go?
Summer is the season for hiking, because high mountain roads are covered with snow in winter. The trails are maintained by the Norwegian Tourist Association, and there are shelters along them where you can spend the night between crossings.
