Abnormal surf near Paracas: sea tours to the islands had to be stopped
The Pisco Port Authority has suspended tourist navigation to the Ballestas Islands due to the appearance of abnormally high waves. The oceanographic phenomenon has also forced the closure of flights to Isla Blanca and the Chincha Islands.
Local tour operators have had to quickly adjust their programs. Currently, boats only take guests through the protected waters of the bay, where sea lions can still be seen in calm places. The bulk of travelers have been directed to the mainland to explore the Paracas National Reserve and other attractions in the Ica region.
