Rescue on the trail near Playa Muñoz ended with a report for the tourist
A rescue operation was launched in the Playa Muñoz area to assist a 24-year-old hiker from Brazil who injured his leg while descending a trail and was unable to move on his own.
A team of seven emergency services specialists, two park employees, two pickup trucks, and a support vessel were involved in the evacuation, allowing the victim to be quickly transported to a safe location.
After the operation was completed, representatives of the protected area established that the tourist had grossly violated the current rules of visiting: he had ignored the weather warnings from meteorologists and had not completed the mandatory registration for tracking. Based on these facts, a report on an administrative offense was drawn up.
