Military and helicopter join search on mountain cerro Ñuñorco Grande
A large-scale search is underway in the province of Tucumán for Raúl Moyano, who disappeared on the slopes of the cerro Ñuñorco Grande peak near Tafí del Valle. By decision of the local judiciary, 15 military personnel Ejército Argentino are being involved in the operation, which will expand the search team to 42 people, along with representatives of Gendarmería Nacional and fighters of the special rescue unit.
Rescuers plan to focus on the southeastern slope of the mountain, which is one of the most difficult to access areas. The operation plan also includes the use of a helicopter, drones and service dogs Policía Federal Argentina, but the launch of the equipment directly depends on weather conditions, which currently significantly limit movement along the rocks.
Due to the lack of fresh tracks, searchers have already returned to previously searched areas several times. At the same time, volunteer groups have expanded the radius of work to the río Los Sosa riverbed, considering the possibility that the man may have exhausted himself and tried to exit the mountain via less steep detours.

Context
The peak of cerro Ñuñorco Grande rises over 3,300 meters above the Tafi Valley and the La Angostura Reservoir in the province of Tucumán, serving as a natural barrier between high-altitude meadows and dense yunga forests. The mountain is bounded by the río Los Sosa and Quebrada del Portugues gorges, whose slopes are characterized by steep terrain, dense vegetation, and frequent sudden fogs, which significantly complicate orientation in the area.
