Aladağlar

Aladağlar is the fiercest limestone massif of the central Taurus, spread between Niğde, Adana and Kayseri and partly protected as a national park. Bare grey walls, deep canyons and summits near 3700 m (the highest, Demirkazık, is 3756 m) make it Turkey's premier alpine-climbing ground. The classic entries are the Emli valley and the village of Çukurbağ, springboards for Mount Emler and the high Yedigöller (Seven Lakes) cirque.
