Climber remains found in the mountains

On 20 August 2026, the bodies of two Belgian hikers missing since 1992 were reported found in a melting Swiss glacier. Separately, crews found the remains of American climber Sarah Mallory Geis, who was killed on Broad Peak. Both stories are recovery reports from high mountains, not new trail closures or permit changes.
